Multidimensional Sotai Method

Multidimensional Sotai Method was developed by Kamikawana sensei, a Sotai practitioner in Sendai. His method is based on Sotai method.

It is valuable in the Sotai method to pay attention to the client’s daily life through the lens of:

Breathing, Diet, Movement, Mindset + Environment

And the key to harmonising these elements is “comfort.”

Feeling a sense of relief. Feeling safe.Feeling relaxed.Finding a sense of calm.

What feels comfortable varies from person to person.

So, start by looking for things that make you feel “that feels good” or “that puts me at ease”

Instead of pushing yourself hard, try gently guiding your body toward what feels comfortable.

It is the accumulation of these small, comfortable moments each day that builds a body capable of healing itself.

The Sotai method supports the body to heal itself instead of just treating symptoms.

In Western medical settings, doctors usually focus on treatments designed to suppress “current symptoms”—such as pain or physical discomfort.

Of course, relieving distressing symptoms is important. However, treating symptoms can sometimes fail to alleviate them.

The Sotai method prioritises creating a state in which the body can heal naturally, rather than focusing on eliminating symptoms.

A state where both mind and body feel safe and deeply relaxed, and where the body gets the nutrition it needs. When these conditions are met, the body can more comfortably tap into its innate healing power.

So, what if you have a persistent ailment despite living your life as usual?

The cause is often hidden within that “usual daily life.

It could be your diet, how you use your body, your breathing, your mindset, emotional state, or your living environment.

If you address only the symptoms without looking at these underlying factors, it can be difficult to get to the root of the issue.
