What does your body really need to improve your soreness?

You may feel good having your shoulders or lower back massaged, but the tightness/soreness/pain always quickly returns. Why is that?

Have you thought about the following questions:

  • How is my posture?

  • What are my habitual movement patterns for my muscle pain?

  • Has the actual cause of my pain been treated?

  • What do I do to improve tightness/soreness by myself?

About

Satomi Trevaskis Canberra holistic remedial massage
Satomi Trevaskis

Satomi is a qualified remedial massage therapist with over 20 years of experience in Japan and Australia. Her journey as a holistic bodyworker has begun since her own experience of severe back pain.

Satomi trained at allied health clinics in Japan before arriving in Australia. She adds to her knowledge through professional development and study in order to continually improve the level of treatment to her clients. She regularly goes to see her mentor, a holistic physiotherapist in Japan.

Satomi started Pilates based rehabilitation without knowing what Pilates was after trying various types of therapies for her back pain. The rehab exercise was the only solution for it. She has regular professional development meetings with her mentor, a very experienced exercise physiologist in order to provide good quality of Pilates based rehab exercises for functional body movement to her clients.

Through her own experience of recovering from a few locations of chronic pain, Satomi understands the importance of exercising for stability and functional movement, re-educating movement patterns through our body and mind and calming our stress/anxiety. She is passionate about sharing the value of self-care for improvement and prevention of injuries with her clients. Satomi is honoured to work on your optimal health with you.
